“We can create whatever it is that we want. And one way that we can do it is to stop thinking about what it is we don't want and start thinking about what it is we want.” –Shirley Baldwin Owens

We can create the life we want, but it’s going to be hard, right? Not necessarily. Last time, we heard how Bryan Falchuk was able to turn his life around, not with a big leap all at once, but with small steps each day. Taking one step today, will help you to start moving towards getting what you want. Stop thinking about what it is you don't want and start thinking about what it is you do want. Shirley Owens: Hello and welcome back to Get What You Want Podcast. My guest on Tuesday was Brian Falchuk. Bryan and I covered a ton of stuff and I hope you enjoyed that conversation as much as I did. One of the things that I wanted to reflect on because I feel like it's a super important thing, is to quit thinking about what it is we don't want and start thinking about what it is we do want. I know in my past, I focused a lot on what it is I don't want, I don't want to be poor, I don't want to be sick, I don't want to lose this job, or I don't want to be in whatever the situation is that I'm in. And when I was able to make a mindset change of thinking about what it is that I did want, I was able to create so much more and I was able to get a lot more of what I wanted. And so I just wanted to talk a little bit about that today, about how we can start being aware of our thoughts, and start to become a creator in what it is that we want. Bryan talked about solving for one thing. What is it that we want? How do we get it? What can we do this day to work towards getting it? So that's what I would love to have my listeners do today on reflecting, listen to what your thoughts are. Are they negative? Are you thinking about what you don't want? Is there a way that you can turn it around to think about what you do want? And then when you do, think about one thing that you do want, what is it that you want? What is it that you can do to get there? And then just do one thing today towards that.

I love this, I love the idea of knowing that we are the creators of our own life, of our own destiny. We can create whatever it is that we want, and this is one way that we can do it. And that is to stop thinking about what it is we don't want, and start thinking about what it is we want.
